School classes

For school classes of all grades and school types, including vocational schools, themed tours and exhibition tours tailored to the current educational plans are offered, including the interactive “Media & Museum” offer. Group sizes are limited to a maximum of 15 students; larger classes are divided and supervised seperately. Depending on the goal of the museum visit, educational methods can be offered in consultation with the subject teachers or class teachers and the relevant content can be emphasized. The themed tours or exhibition tours, including supplementary activities (creative tasks such as origami, creative writing, working with historical sources, etc.) last 90 minutes. We offer a guided tour with a practical part on the topics of “Archaeology and Romans in our region” to go with our YouTube video “Romans on the Enz, Metter and Neckar” (28 min.), which can be watched as preparation in class.

These offers are free of charge for students from Bietigheim-Bissingen, only material costs are incurred depending on the chosen final subject.

All students from outside Bietigheim-Bissingen pay a tour fee of 1 euro plus the cost of materials. All accompanying persons are exempt.

Teachers can find out about the current programs for classes and year groups free of charge and without obligation at introductory cultural education events at the start of each new temporary exhibition. You can also obtain information on the current program and make individual bookings through the museum office.
