New beginning since 1989 as a city museum

"With the exhibition "1200 years of Bietigheim. Stages on the way to the city of today", the city's history returned in time for the anniversary year to a house that had been the starting point and center for the history of our city for a long time." With these words, Manfred List, the then mayor of the city of Bietigheim-Bissingen, began his foreword in the first exhibition catalog of the Hornmoldhaus Stadtmuseum, which opened in March 1989.

Since then, the house has been dedicated to the history of the city of Bietigheim-Bissingen and deals with local, regional and cultural history in its permanent exhibition and two to three temporary exhibitions every year.
