Who still has them? Who still uses one? In our new temporary exhibition, we aim to explore the history of piggy banks and answer the question: why is it actually a pig that we entrust our savings to?

Several hundred piggy banks from the collections of the "MUSE-O Stuttgart" and "Schulmuseum Kornmwestheim" museums are on display at the Hornmoldhaus City Museum. Whether it's a money-saving stocking or a kitchen item, animal figurines, or everyday objects such as school satchels and cars - the variety of money boxes is impressive and shows all the things one can save up for. The exhibition at the Hornmoldhaus brings back memories of your own piggy banks and presents curiosities and interesting facts on the subject of saving money.
